Production
Step 1
The production process starts from the blending of dyed fibers and their subsequent baling.
Step 2
The loose fibers are placed in the carding machine, which through the action of rollers equipped with metal teeth, disentangles and aligns the individual fibers to be parallel with each other.
Step 3
Resulting from the carding process is a thin veil of fibers which is then folded over repeatedly and placed under the continuous action of a roller to obtain increased fineness and uniformity.
Step 4
The stack of overlapped veils is then passed through a felt needling machine that connects and compresses the fibers by means of the vertical motion of the needles.
Step 5
The process is complete and the felt is ready for finishing.
